A Drama of Greenery, Water, and Light

This beautiful, elegant, 18-hole course employs large ponds and bunkers in a skillful layout in which each hole is completely separated from others by natural groves and mounds. Jumbo Ozaki has praised the highly strategic nature of the course by saying that it demands full use of all 14 clubs in the golfer’s bag. Since becoming the venue for the big spring event, the Descente Classic Munsingwear Cup, it has been the setting for various tournaments. It boasts a rating on par with that of the Gotemba Course. Over-seeding with blue grass keeps the fairways green year round. The greens are well known for speedy bent grass. Some top pro golfers even praise their mirror smoothness as being even faster than those of the Gotemba Course. With a total of 6,842 yards for its 18 holes, the course usually stimulates golfers disappointed with their scores to vow to do better next time.

Access

Arrive by Automobile

Tateyama Expressway (18km—about 25 minutes from the Ichihara interchange to the Ichihara Course)
Get off at the Ichihara interchange and proceed in the direction of Ootaki/Katsuura. Turn left at the sixth stoplight (Shinsei intersection). Proceed straight along National Highway No. 297 to the Isogaya entry stoplight. Proceed about 6km and turn right at the Uguisu Line. At the next stoplight, turn left on National Highway No. 409 and from there to the Ichihara Course.

Tateyama Expressway (26km or about 35 minutes) from the Soga interchange to the Ichihara Course.
Getting off the Soga interchange, follow the road in the direction of Ichihara. At the Eneos gasoline station, turn left toward Mobara. Proceed about 12km along the Mobara Street. Turn right at the stoplight beyond Japan Foods. For the next 19km, follow the road signs to the Ichihara Course.

From the Aqua-Line Ken-o Expressway Mobara Chonan interchange (6.7km or about 10 minutes)
Enter the Ken-o Expressway from the Kisarazu junction. Leaving the tollgate, turn right immediately ahead. Proceed for about 500m to the Senda intersection; turn left on to National Highway No. 409. Following the road signs, proceed for about 6km to reach the Ichihara Course.

Arrive by Train

Take the JR Sotobo Line to Mobara Station (60 minutes by special express from Tokyo Station). From there 25 minutes by taxi.
Take the JR Uchibo Line to Goi Station (50 minutes by special express from Tokyo Station). From there 30 minutes by taxi.

(Daily) Connects with the Sazanami No. 1 train.
Departs from Tokyo Station (Sazanami No. 1) at 07:30; reaches Goi Station at 08:10.
